Tournament Champs!
Yesterday, the Atom Rep team traveled to Arthur for their first tournament of the season. They started the tournament off with a 5 - 1 win against their division rivals the Arthur Vipers. For their second game they faced the St. George Generals. The game was very close and hard fought and with a flurry of goals near the end of the third period the Defenders came through with a 6 - 2 win to move onto the Championship game. The Drayton Defenders would face off against the Twin Center Stars for the Championship. The Defenders started off strong and scored a couple goals early that set the tone for the rest of the game. The Drayton players worked hard for three periods, played a very strong defensive game and capitalized on their chances. The final scored ended up 6 - 3 with the Defenders being crowned Champions! The coaching staff was very proud of the work ethic and tremendous team play that these kids put forth. Congratulations Boys you earned it!
