Minor Hockey Vaccine Policy
Hi all, Your Minor Hockey board is working hard to navigate through the hurdles presented by the COVID Pandemic. The OMHA has tied its return to Hockey program to the Provinces re-opening plans.

Currently the province and OMHA are in Stage 3 which allows for hockey to be played in the traditional 5 on 5 format including full contact where applicable. There may be some restrictions to how things work in the arenas off the ice such as distancing, masking etc. but on the ice, the goal is to get back to pre-covid hockey.

As you may or may not know, OMHA has implemented a mandatory vaccine policy that all vaccine eligible players, (2009 and older) and any team staff, officials and volunteers be able to prove full vaccination status (14days after 2nd dose)  by October 31 2021. There will be no consideration given for providing negative tests on a frequent basis. Under special circumstances exemptions may be granted as found in the attached policy

Non vaccine eligible players born 2010 and later are not affected by the policy. Parents, Guardians and spectators who are not directly involved in the delivery of Minor hockey programing are also exempt from the policy at all ages.
